I have the interior out of my 87.
As background, I just finished putting an M5OD in. Truck originally came with a 4 speed. P.O. put in an automatic. I took out the auto.
Anyhow, I'm on my back under the dash wiring in the clutch switch.
Noticed that the cruise appears to be some sort of add on. There's a stalk on the LH side of the steering column.
Was going to wire the clutch switch into the same circuit as the brake switch so the cruise would shut off when the clutch switch activates. Then I realized the brake lights would go on every time I pushed the clutch.
So, I'm trying to figure out if there's any way to wire the clutch switch into the cruise, but I don't see any labelling on any of the cruise components.
Was there a dealer-installed cruise from Ford, and if so, is there any way to find a wiring diagram?
Or is it likely an aftermarket setup?
