I 'think' the needle bearing is a press-in, and the spindle is both rare as F* and expensive. I had a drive line shop change the needle bearings - just took them the spindles and the bearings. Just did not want to risk it.
If you do take the spindle off, you will need seals for both sides of it. Get these from Napa - they have the correct listing for your truck. The other big 2 chain stores do not have the correct listing so you end up doing the trial and error thing (ask me how I know ).
