wellp, its easter monday and im bored at home, so i figured its time to start my official build thread for my Ranger.
Picked up this 91 Ranger with the 4L for $450 about a month ago got a sweet ass deal on her because it was running rough, needed a rad, water pump, heater core, tires, shocks, the windshield is cracked a bit, and the a4ld is on its way out. other than that the body and interior is in great shape and i was able to drive it home given all those issues! lol
Was going to build a high perf 97 OHV 4L for it mated to an m5od. but now i'm settled on a GT-40P 5L mated to a granny gear T19. other plans are..
-Explorer 8.8 rear end (for the larger axles and disc brakes) with locker
-Front locker & Dana 44 knuckle swap
-Slight suspention lift & 2inch body lift
-Sliders
-Extra or larger fuel tank for more Ranger range lol
she'll be a slow process because landscaping season is just finally getting back to full time work again but i'll get there.
only things i've done as of yet are, water pump, thermostat, rad, heater-core, fan, idler pully, and basic tune up to get me by for now
