Hello!
First off let me state that I have searched, and did not find results I needed. Nearly everything said to use the non A/C box for space when doing the V8 swap. Maybe I'm just using the wrong search terms but I couldn't find anything helpful on this one.
I have a 1986 Ranger set up for 2.9L w/Factory AC. I will be installing a 1998 Ford Explorer 5.0L Engine. I am set on keeping A/C in the truck. I will be lowering the truck, and I will not install a body lift. So what will it take to retain A/C and make this swap work?
FWIW I will have the entire explorer available to remove parts from. I would consider using all the AC components from it but from what I've read the fire walls are shaped differently and the Explorer duct work will not match up to my first gen dash.
If anyone has any ideas I'd be glad to hear them!
