Well, nobody has replied yet. So, even though I don't have a definitive answer, here is some stuff to think about. I'm interested because I would like to eliminate the c-clips in my rear axle, too. But I don't have the budget for buying a kit with new axles. There used to be some kits to convert the existing axles. I just didn't have much luck finding any for sale when I was gathering parts for my project.
I don't see Yukon's c-clip eliminator kit listed for sale on their website at the moment. The installation manual is available to read, though. It appears that their kit (Ultimate 88 Kit?) was designed to be used on the 31 spline 8.8 from an Explorer with disc brakes. So, if I was in your position and wanted to use that kit, I would research and verify the following;
1. Axle shaft lengths and diameters. I think you will find them to be the same as yours. But I'm not an expert. So do the research. The info is probably in the tech articles on this site or will show up in a Google search.
2. Disc brakes. Do you have them? If not, there are tech articles here that will help you convert your axle from drum to disc. I considered that job, also. It doesn't look too hard. - parts are at the junk yard or Craigslist.
Once you work out those two things, it should work. Most of the research I did indicated that for most eliminator kits, you will need a hydraulic press to install the bearings onto the shafts.
Do you have a source to buy the yukon kit? what's the price?
