I have two main codes that I am having trouble clearing... P1443 & P0401.
P1443= EVAP canister purge valve mechanical fault, ecm detected a fuel tank pressure change grater than a minus 7 inches of h20 in 30 seconds with purge less than .02 lbs per minute....possible cause faile evap sensor, blocked hose between purge valve and ftp sensor, evap purge valve stuck closed....
P0401=EGR system fault, ecm has detected too little flow on the EGR probable cause,blocked passage on EGR system, Failed EGR valve, egr solenoid faulty, failed egr pressure sensor...
I cleaned the throttle body and intake manifold so egr is working, did a vacuum check on EGR valve attached in intake manifold, all seems to be working properly, checked hoses and vacuum lines....
Any suggestions on troubleshooting or how to begin?
1996 Ford Ranger XL 2WD 2.3L
Also have a loud exhaust leak (if anyone has good suggestions on great places to get exhaust parts let me know)
