Im trying to buy the upper ball joints for my 93 4x4 D35 and theres two different ones. If the truck was built before jan 11of 93 its diiferent than if built after. But on my truck it doesnt specify what day it was built just says 01/93. Can anyone shed some light on the differance between the two. Thanks

Not sure when they changed from a d28 to a d35 but the top joint for a d28 has a threaded stud with a nut on. the joint for the 35 has a plain stud that is held in with the pinch bolt. If this is the case you would be able to tell by looking at them.

Ask for balljoints for a '94 explorer and you'll get the right ones, they didn't put Dana 28's in after mid '90 so there is only one choice but their computer is WRONG... I have the same problem but my truck is made out of parts from like 4 different vehicles :)
