I have a 89 b2 2.9 with ticking and oil presure issues. I have been researching this engine to know it better before I jump into a new engine or rebuild this one. My understanding is the pushrods on these motors are solid in that they dont have an oil hole from the lifter to the rocker arm, and that design does not allow the lifters to bleed off air, causing the notorious ticking b2. A set of new hollow pushrods and drilled adjusting screws would fix this issue. Has anyone heard of this before? If so do you know of anyone offering this type sutup as a kit for the diy'rs? Thank for any info.
