good evening guys and gals, got sent over here by member greengeeker (from Tdiclub). I am "repossessing" an old family vehicle, was my brothers, then mine and while I was out of the country my mother gave it to my uncle. Anyway, it has been sitting (garaged) in need of a clutch since '05 or '06 (last registration was '06). Went to take a look at it yesterday and other than what I hope is mostly surface rust on everything under the truck it does not look to bad. Took all day cleaning the junk out of it and getting the frozen brakes to release. Hopefully my neighbor can give me a tow this weekend and then the project will begin.
'89 manual, extended cab, with the 2.9 engine, basic truck with manual windows, no air, rear drums.
well I guess the learning begins here, I am competent with tools but do not know much automotive so wish me luck and hopefully this will be a great resource.
