OK, considering I am a die hard 2.8 fan, would I be a trader if I changed to a 4.0 in my '84 B2?? :black_eye:

Here's the deal, my brother has a '91 Explorer, 2wd, auto....the truck is falling apart & he hates it so it is going to the metal yard.

The good thing is it has a great running 4.0 & every part of the A.C. is brand new!!!!

I am getting the engine, A.C. parts, computer & all related wiring, the center console w/cup holders :)headbang:), & whatever else I can use for free!!!!!!!

One question, since I will obviously want a manual trans. & transfer case, will the auto trans. computer work??

I know there is a lot of info on here about the swap & I will be researching a lot...........:icon_confused:

:icon_cheers:

Well, you would be a trader as you'd be trading your 2.8 for a far superior engine. Not sure that you'd be a traitor for it though.

Im runnin a 5 spd w an auto computer. Its not a problem. Switching the dash might make the wiring easier. Once you put the 4.0 in. Youll never look back. Its worth it.
