My tach was working fine then I broke my timing belt after replacing the belt the tach stopped working then after a week or so it came back on. It worked normally for a month or so then went out again this week. It does show signs like its trying to work right (will jump from time to time and read correct rpm). Tonight i replaced both coil packs and still the same problem. The tach itself i could care less about, but when the tach isnt reading right my fuel mileage gets cut in half. If i come across a fix Ill be sure to post up ASAP.

This is not the same problem. I'm splitting yours off to another thread.

Well, is it an aftermarket tach?

I'll be happy to e-mail you a schematic that will help you trace that signal's wiring.

PM me an e-mail address.
