So my door tag on my 1987 2.9 4x4 XLT says axle code F6, which is 7.5" limited slip 3.73, but what is the front differential? The same?

The only front axle in that truck would have been a d28 ttb, and the same ratio as the rear. Supposedly very few were offered with a l/s front axle, but I've never seen them. Safe to assume it's open.

I believe the axle code would be "F62" if it had the limited-slip D28 front axle.
