I just bought a 95 ford ranger 5-speed with a 3.0l engine, and found out the heads were cracked. i read that there are certain other motors that will work in a ranger. I have not been able to find another ranger motor, but have found a 95 Aerostar 3.0l motor. (which the list said would fit/work.) The salvage yard with the motor and one other place had told me that if i put the Aerostar motor in the Ranger, i will have to change out the rocker arms, oil pan, and various other parts. Does anyone know if this motor will work, and if so what parts will have to be switched out for it to fit? Also, if the rocker arms have to be changed, can you tell me why?
