Hey guy's
i just finished installing 4 new speakers
up front i have c2-525x which are 5 1/4" coaxial
and rear c2-570x 5x7's
the difference in sound 5 1/4's have better high's,
5x7 better low end bass
the mid's are about the same
overall i think i prefer the 5x7's
but with both speakers mixed together they seem perfectly balanced
The speakers are being driven by an Alpine 9884 deck 18 watts RMS x4 at 4 ohms overall i am satisfied with the speakers ,big improvement over stock.
believe it or not the head unit feeds it enough power for moderate volumes but anything over 50% would require amplification to get better low end
1 thing that the truck absolutely needs is insulation as i now have rattles in the the 2 front doors, the rear seems fine so far
insulation is on the way, so i'll post an update after that
