Hi Guys,
Just picked up a 89 Bronco II 4x4 5 speed. It has a blown head Gasket which I was thinking about replacing, but pulling the heads is easier with the engine out, and if I going that far, I figure I might as well swap in a 4.0.
There is a guy selling a 98 Ranger with the 4.0. He took the transmission (Automatic) and is scrapping the rest. Says the engine ran good before he took the tranny. $350.00 Figure I may also be able to use the front axle so the price is right.
It seems most of the info here involves pre-1996 4.0's. I've skimmed most of the articles and haven't seen anything. So just wondering if there is any reason why a 98 wouldn't work.
Thanks in Advance!
