Ok did a 4.0 swap. Only way I can get the fuel pump on is to run a hot wire to relay. AND I have fire coming from the control module and ign switch but no fire out of the coil. Changed the coil same issues. Does anyone have any ideas on either problem?

EEC Relay...............

EEC relay closes when key is turned on, it powers coil(EDIS), fuel injectors, fuel pump relay and of course the EEC(computer).

Each fuel injector should have 12v when key is on, coil pack should have 12v when key is on.

What year is the 4.0l and it's wiring harness.
'90-'94 used an EDIS-6 (electronic distributorless ignition system) to run the spark, it was located on the rad support, front side or back side, it is often forgotten when pulling off parts.
EDIS starts spark and fuel injection when it gets a pulse signal from CKP(crank position) sensor located on the main pulley.
Without that pulse the spark and fuel will never start.

Make sure EDIS has 12v as well.

'95 and up had EDIS built into computer

The harness is off a 91. The ecu relay is getting fire and putting fire out. The three wires coming from the control module to the coil are all hot along with the wire from the ignition switch. I had someone else to tell me the crank sensor. Is there any way to check it?

Ok so the three wires from the control module to the coil should be grounded? I'm getting three hot wires from there. Therefore there is an open circuit in the module?

Changed coil, edis, and crank sensor. Still no spark. Next step?
