A little background first.
receiving vehicle: 94 ranger 4x4 prerunner with explorer 8.8 already in and bw1354 and giant engine cage
donor vehicle: 97 explorer 5.0 auto awd all stock
I have a few questions during this pre swap stage. I am getting all my parts together so I dont have alot of down time. My NEEDS are smog legal for ca and 4x4. Id like to keep ac and cruise but understand if I cant. So my questions are;
What engine mounts would be best for my situation? Aa or duff or??
Will the 5.0 accessories (alt ac power steering ect) be able to be kept or do I need to mix and match and getnthe brackets like in the swap article?
Will these stock headers work?
Is wiring plug and play or do I need a swap harness? If so whos?
Which fuel pump? Will most likely get supercharged someday
will I need to modify my trans crossmember?
Can i use explorer drive shafts or do I need something else?
For tranfer case adapter I need advance adaptors correct?
Will the stock oil pan work?
this is all I can think of. As I research more ill put answers to my own questions. Just looking for some insight from the pros!!
