pita water pump

2.9 b2 are these darn things welded in. I have been trying to get the fan clutch deal off and my map gas torch and $12 air hammer with a 1gal air tank isn't getting me anywhere. Is there anything else I can try to get this off.

Are you trying to turn it in the right direction? If it's driven by the face of the belt it's left hand thread. If its driven by the back of the belt it normal thread.

I've found an air hammer/chisel with a chisel tip works best, get on the edge of the nut and pull the trigger.

I know its reverse thread but ive been beating on this thing every witch way and it wont budge.

There is a tool which consists of two wrenches, one that fits the nut and one that is much bigger that you hold on the nuts for the fan pulley. Most all cheap tool places carry a Ford fan removal set, spray some penetrating oil and use extensions and it will give up.
