Finishing up my 97 2wd 302 carbureted AOD swap. Hoping to have it running and driving soon! I have a new 4.0 2row radiator with trans cooler and i have a b&m cooler mounted in front of the core support. Question i have is i want to use both to keep the AOD cool. Should i run line out to the radiator. To cooler then back to trans? Wondering what would work the best?

Since the radiator is warmer than ambient, I'd route the fluid from the trans to the radiator for the initial heat removal and then through the external cooler to maximize heat removal.

That's how it should be run exactly. Fluid will be cool . I'm just running a big external cooler bypassing the radiator on my 5.0 . I work in a transmission shop and promise I or any customer with a custom setup have had a problem . Just got make sure fan pulls air and it's got good Ambient air flow

it is easier to fix and understand than "her"
depends on where you live.

if its 20 degrees out most days in the winter i would just run the radiator cooler or the external cooler first and switch it in the spring.

i know 120 degree or less fluid in an aod and with my setup cost 2 mpg on the hi-way and affected shifting..

Not to step on any toes here, but I just finished doing a lot of research on trans coolers and transmission pressures. Long story why but to keep it short I would run just the cooler and bypass the radiator all together or, run both parallel and not in series as described. Just my 2 cents.
