Wrong on both counts. It's not just 4 bolts. Yeah, 4 bolts and the door is off, but taking it off, putting the new one up, and adjusting everything... It's a PITA. I've done it both ways, the regulator is easier.Who wouldn't rather change 4 bolts then grind rivets at all that jazz. It'll probably be cheaper for the whole door from a junkyard.
Additionally I believe if you go back far enough I offered to sell you a PAIR of good condition manual window regulators for cheap.
