I have a 7amp draw that I have down to the wire off the starter relay, it seems to feed the ignition key area of wiring, what is the fix? Fire problem?

thank you all!

I just replaced the key ignition module in the column and it still is drawing power at 7 amps.

Just called Merles Auto here in Tucson, a bad Diode in the alt. might be the culprit, I will see and tell you all.

Hello all,

Merles sold me a Alt, and so far that seemed to fix the draw. Still have to hook up the battery and test.

Yep, that was it..

Seems it was shorted out, maybe due to the plug positioned up, and I keep my engine clean.
