I have a slow leak on my transfer case. I had it out of the truck when I did the clutch on y truck. I replaced the input and the out put shaft. The transfer case was almost out of oil when I pulled it. I put it back in and it had a leak. I thought at first that it was from overfilling. I clean off the transfer case and have been driving it but I am still getting a few drops from the output shaft area.

The seal between the case halves might be leaking, or it could be that the yoke is worn and so the new seal isn't sealing.

Can I even get another yoke?

Driveline shop, junkyard, Ebay... Plenty of places you can get another yoke.

I'm thinking you'd need a yoke for a 1210 size u-joint, but double-check (possibility is there you might need a 1310, which is bigger). Output shaft on all RBV cases is 26 spline.

Or maybe there is a seal repair kit available? (moves the seal to an unworn area on your existing yoke) I know these are available for the rear axle shaft seals anyway. Something you can check for first if you want.

I am not sure that the wear it on the outer area where the seal is. It feels like it is worn at the spline

So I finely got around to looking into this issue. Called around and picked some brains and found out that if the splines are worn it will leak from there. The fix sounds simple; Pull the output yoke out, put form a gasket on the splines and re-assemble. I am going to give this a try on Sunday and see how it works. I would love to replace the yoke but it is not cheap. 130 to over 200 dollars depending on where I looked.

Have you checked the vent? I know people overlook this all the time.

I will google cobra trans. Where is the vent you are referring to? another style of yoke? I keep seeing a yoke that the u joint actually clamps to the yoke like the rear end yoke.

IIRC, The vent has a rubber hose in the shape of a shepherds crook. It's been so long since I've looked I couldn't tell where it's located, but if plugged would cause your symptoms.
