Thanks... That's good news that there's another outlet, in case they come back as unavailable from fastenal. Fastenal was much cheaper at $1.36 each, but I had to get them through work in order to get their attention.

Your Ranger looked great the way it was. I like the custom hood and paint.

Dude that truck is sick. Keep the paint, and spend the money on the driveline!

nice truck~

For some reason, when I read the title...I thought "Eh! There was no TRS 14 years ago"...then I remembered that it was already 2014 and, well, the pain medication was wearing down enough for me to start dealing with reality again...

And I would vote to keep the truck also and upgrade the drive train...

But how did you manage to keep a nice Ranger up on blocks for 14 years???

Yeah, time flies. I remember when Jim started the site. I couldn't recover my old screen name, ' Russ', because I no longer have access to whatever email I created the account with.

I parked it for the winter in 2000. The spring of 2001 rolled around and it was just all jacked up. I didn't have a lot of time to work on it through that summer, but I did manage to get it pulled apart and most of the chassis and the underside of the bed and cab stripped and sanded. Then 9-11 happened... I guess I'm picking up where I left off. It's something I've needed to do for quite a while. I started working on it again on September 12th.

I think I know how the time can fly away...and how other things take priority or redirect our attention...and since my recent bout with fate has me wondering if I will ever actually get to drive my truck again or will I need to modify it yet again to accommodate my current problem...

So...after all that...thanks for the update...and good to see you are tackling things appropriately...and in good time...

Fight the good fight~~!
