I haven't really driven my B2 very much lately and I started back driving it a lot this past week. I noticed that the oil pressure gauge is reading a little low. It still shows as being in the "norm" range as its sitting a little below half.
The pressure seems to be higher when cold, and then drops a little when it heats up.

The oil level is good, and the truck seems to be running fine, just wondering what might cause it to run lower like that.

put a mechanical gauge on to check real pressure. those OEM gauges are no more than an idiot light. you can have 8 lbs pressure and gauge might read halfway.

I will try to put a real gauge on it.

I was assuming it's a sending unit issue because the gauge has gotten real inconsistent in the last few days and the truck went past the read before class last night.

I drove the truck from school to home (20 + miles), and then from home to work today (20+ miles). It seemed to be running fine. I was rollin' around 70 and the needle was under the red.

No power loss and no extra noise.

If it is not making noise then you still have oil pressure. Ignore the gauge, stock ones are worthless.

It looks like it's leaking oil on the driver's side around the oil sending unit, is there anything special I need to swap out the new one?
