Well I just finished doing headgaskets and top end mods on my 88 2.9l. Well I had it apart I noticed a plug on the drivers side fender well that is in bad shape. 2 wires broke off. 3 wires total in this plug. One side of the plug the wires go to alternator other side goes to firewall. Planning to just eliminate the plug and just wire it together. Problem I'm having is the wires are hard to see colors. What wires go to what on either side of plug. Thanks guys

On my 88 BII I had to eliminate a 3 wire connector on the drivers side also due to corrosion. I can't find the connector I took off but the wires are a heavier gauge black wire and a green and lighter color smaller gauge wire. May not help you but that's all I got.

Have you tried using rubbing alcohol to clean the wires to see the color better ?
