will 02 ranger hood fit on my 98 ranger? i know it the same generation but just wanted to make sure since my little blue truck is fighting us every step of the way on fixing her

Yes, it will, 1998-2003 used the same steel hoods

I'll defer to you @RonD on the fit; but my '98 hood is aluminium. And I think the '03 "power dome" hoods were fiberglass.

Yes, there were different hood types, LMC just has the steel ones
