Woofer, driver and speaker are all synonyms. I was taught to refer to all speakers as drivers. A component set in your doors and a larger driver (sub-woofer, if you prefer to label it that) behind the seat can sound incredible in a Ranger.

The best sounding system I've ever put together was that with one difference; I put the tweeters in the dash, both angled to the driver's seat, 5¼" in the doors with a single 10" behind the seat.

This is exactly the system I am thinking about. About the tweeters in the dash, did you mount them under the factory grilles?
