Hello from Massachusetts !
I'm new to the site and for all you folks that "work" on it......it's the best site/forum/information source I have experienced. I have been scouring it for all the great info. Wow ! Thx !
I don't know why, but I have an itch to make a Ranger mine. I have established some criteria: 1998-2004, Standard cab, Step side, 5 speed Manual Tranny, 4.0L, 2wd, and uh, Yellow !!! The bright red or blue will also due. Solid frame a must. No body rot.
My mechanical capabilities are, well self taught to do it wrong the first time, then less wrong the second time, third time a charm.
I realize my criteria for a finding this Ranger will likely result in compromises and after fixes to achieve the "dream". Plans to lower suspension and slight mods to gain a tad more Hp and torque, and "laker" side pipes ! I love handling in the twisties and of course, the fragrance of burning rubber.
My need right now is to get some answers before I buy. I have a myriad of diverse questions about motor swap, drivetrain, what fits what and more importantly, what not to do or doesn't fit.
Can anybody direct me to the correct forum, or even better entertain a phone call full of questions ? And wise answers/advice.
