Hey all, I've been looking for a good front disc set for my 1999 B2500 SE. Most of the search results are for performance parts, and I don't tow heavy things or go offroad so I don't need anything beyond stock. Does anyone have front disc kits near oem that they'd recommend?

My credo
Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
If all you want is OE equivalent parts just head on down to napa or whatever your parts store of choice is.

What Blmpkn said or get on Rock Auto. We post discount codes in the General Discussion section as we get them. They are only 5% but 5% less is better than no discount.

Anyway, Rock Auto will list brake parts by "Economy", "Daily Driver", "Heavy Duty", and "Performance". OEM tends to be either listed under economy or daily driver. Rock Auto, even without the discount, and after shipping tends to be cheaper than the local big box auto parts store.

If you are up to it, I think you may be able covert your 1999 Ranger to 2004 front disks which are larger in diameter. At least I did so to my 4WD 2002 Ranger. Someone else will have to comment on application for a 1999 Ranger.

This does require changing out the steering knuckles which I obtained from a nearby salvage yard. I believe this also requires 16" wheels.

This change with new Wagner Thermo-Quiet ceramic pads definitely made a difference.

If they are the factory 15" wheels, they will fit with the bigger brakes. I've had the steel rims as well as the aluminum rims that came with my Ranger and both clear 12" brakes but only barely.
