Hi, how many 02 sensors on a 98 Ranger 3.0, 5speed?what is a good recommendation for replacements? Thanks tim

Should be 3 unless it has dual exhaust, very rare
2 upstream by exhaust manifolds, 1 downstream after Cat Converters

Bosch is recommended and a good brand

Its a 4 wire O2 sensor with a round Ford plug in, all 3 would be the same O2 model but they will come with different length wire harnesses attached so different part numbers
Many just buy a set of 3 with same length harness, say 18" and just use wire ties if the whole length is not needed

A Bosch 15719 with 24i00 0m610 Long Cable+Plug is good to replace any Ford 4WireNarrowBand Sensor.
Use CableTies to route+secure any excess cable, away from HotExhaust\MovingParts\GroundClearance.
Best to renew OxSensors every 100kMiles\12years, along with SparkPlugs+Wires & PCVValve;
their chemical sensor element gradually wears out,
that will bias fuel/air mix to the rich side = lower Mileage & CatCons running hot.
