My last bump cost me a movie and dinner at Red Lobster. :icon_rofl:
My last bump cost me a trip to my doctor & antibiotics.

Wow i was checking on the map to see the progress and i spotted a blue dot in Hawaii now how are we going to drive the flag to there?
How big is your snorkel?

You've got experience fjording from the "Oregon Trail" game...right?

So...I'll meet YOU at the Texas/Louisiana border?

I just sent out some generic p.m.'s to all the La. members I could locate...I'll try to update the route;(there are members in Watson & Walker LA. that want to sign the banner)

doorgunner gets it from ASMODEAN Saturday 2:00p.m. @ set location in Alexandria LA>

doorgunner goes thru Denham Springs & Walker around 7p.m. SATURDAY NITE to get sigs from those members>>>>>>>>>

then New Orleans LA on SUNDAY at SOOPA DOME at 9a.m. for sigs for members in that area>>>>>>>>

then it will go to Houma next at 10:30a.m..anybody who wants to sign it--reply to the Banner thread & be at Southland Mall in Houma>>>>>

fordman 4x492 will take the Banner from doorgunner in Houma Sunday morning.

fordman 4x492 will take the Banner to Lafayette....anybody in that area should plan on meeting him Sunday morning to sign the Banner...he will hand it off to the next scheduled member...

this is a rough idea of the plan...it depends a lot on how much driving I can get done Saturday & how many members post in the Banner thread so I can meet them along the way...It's looking like I will be in the DenhamSprings area around 6p.m. Saturday....if it works out right.>>>>>>>Sunday morning to bring it to New Orleans & Houma.......sorry bout repeating.....it's the drugs.....the '36 aint finished but it'll be there unless God got different plans!!!!!!
Note: any members who want to add details to the route.....copy this & add the info so the TEXAS members know when & where to meet to get the Banner at the state line.

HAHA, I would also need a transfer case, a front axle and probably some other 4 wheel drive parts just to start. I am sure i can come up with a pretty big snorkel, The Home Depot is right around the corner.

Just put some pontoons as running boards and bolt a prop between the driveshaft and the rear axle and your set:icon_idea:

I am so glad that I made my trip with the 3.0 instead of the 5.0 I am going to install. That would have sucked.

All over it, pontoons next upgrade.

:yahoo: Will there be a write-up?

2WD matters not when you are buoyant underwater... :icon_thumby:

The Louisiana Relay.........

sloppy pic of the speedometer before the trip to Alexandria starts.....I'll get the Banner from ADSMODEAN there at 2p.m. Saturday....

UPDATE: crossing the Mississippi Ribba at Baton Rouge Louisiana.......

a pic of Baton Rouge...looking up-river toward Natchez Mississippi.....

about 120 miles north of New Orleans--the EASY RIDER cafe was torn down--only a couple old buildings remain in the town of Morganza where the movie was filmed...

about 150 miles from into the trip--crossing the Atchafalaya River--supposed to be one of the deepest rivers in the world???

looking up-river at some rusted out train-bridge.........

another river---crossing over it into Alexandria Louisiana--about 180 miles into the trip---ADSMODEAN will be waiting for me on the other side wit da Banner!!!!

I........uhhhhh.......He.....found me....we glued the Banner to the '36 Ranger windshield......

speedometer pic at the relay site..........

ASDMODEAN like the truck--so i sold it to him for $500 and he threw in the last bridge i took a picture of......He told me--just sign below my name to make the sale Official.....

here he is beside his new truk.............................

it all happened so fast---here i am tryin not to cry......

Man! He keeps changin the way he spells his name!!!!

I really think it snowed about 20 minute before I passed this field on my way back thru Natchez Miss-sippi........

i thought this was my house----i was wr...wr....wrong......it belonged to the town sheriff--he showed me how to get back on the black-top.....

2 hours after me & ASMODEAN say goodbye.....I get to Natchez....it got 2 bridges--i'm pretty sure both of em is for leavin Louisiana in a hurry....

/

somehow i zigged when i shoulda...................guess i crossed the wrong bridge..........

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....Political correctness claims another landmark......this Lady was a black lady in 1955 when my parents took me here to eat pancakes covered with cane syrup...she was the fore-runner of Ihop back in the day......good pancakes.......great cook/chef......

DAT BE IT UNTIL TOMORROW WHEN I GOES BY THE SOOOOOOOOOPA DOME ON THE WAY TO HOUMA lOUISIANA TO MEET FORDMAN4X492 & THE OTHER MEMBERS......
