thanks!At the most i would go 2000. Also plan on running a tranny cooler with a higher stall converter, they build up a lot of heat as was stated above.
As I recall, if the line falls off, you will have 1st gear only.. or very hard shift points.got the vac modulater hose attached to my intake manifold. I am not sure if thats how it goes. I figured it was an open vac source for it to be hooked up to. Maybe it goes to the carb?
That noise is the impeller hitting the stator; when the torque converter is on the tranny, the input shaft and stator shaft keep the parts from hitting each other. So if the converter was working before it was removed it should be OKand when i shook it around it sounded like something inside was loose. I figured it was broke internally
