My credo
If you can't go through it or around it, then go over it.
I would use a D50

I happened to stumble upon this photo. is it really for real?

yah,it's for real.

4'' cut and turn, some really long radius arms and a matching front.
that photo keeps showing up...where is it coming from?

there was a guy here on TRS that experimented with a rear TTB way back when like 2004ish
probably me.
that photo was taken 2004ish.

I was going to do front and back D50 in my LandCruiser but I lack the necessary fab skills.

I thought that truck looked familiar, I seem to remember the broken tail light.

looks all kinds of weird.. is that a sport trac rear window?
i'm going to say it's a ST body with a first? gen bed... the cargo/high mount looks like the sport trac one...

I think gwaii should get this pic, he could build it in like a week lol that's nothing compared to his imagination lmao
yeah but that friggin guy would build it with like dana 500's or something retarded like that

yah,it's for real.

I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!
I would use a D50
I would use d44 beams and a d50 center section. The d50 center bolts into the d44 beam and the d44 beams are closer to equal length.

Is it for rear yes but heres one down side. When you fully load up the bed with weight, it will throw your caster out on you and the insides of your tires will be taking all the weight.
You meant the camber :icon_thumby:

If it was mine I wouldn't be loading it down though....that.s what the tow pig is for.

Assuming one could get the steering pivot points to be exactly where they would need to be without causing crazy bumpsteer, that thing would kick butt in the fast stuff!

it's actually a sport trac back wall grafted onto a first gen cab...this is the one where the 'anything will fit...i've got a sawzall and a welder' line came from.

there's no point.the d 50 pig isn't enough of an upgrade to warrant the loss of gearing and carrier options the 44 gives.the main advantage of the 50 over the 44 is the axles.

that was the idea.

Did the rear wheels turn at all or just fixed to go straight?

I bet a setup like that could take jumps all day.

It looks like the FSB guys are doing it for the easy to find stock 4:10 gears.
