My assumptions would be a failing starter.
its probably the starter but for the hell of it you could try using a screwdriver or something on the starter soleniod to give the starter full voltage by bypassing the soleniod.The starter will not turn the motor over. Let it cool down and the starter works and the motor starts.
This is a cranking problem, not an ignition problem.My guess is tfi module.
No, the OP has made it clear that this is a cranking problem.I think it might be a coil.
