i have a 1999 ranger 3.0 automatic 4x4 83,000 miles
check engine light is on .had code read as p0149 fuel timing .
i cant find anything on this code ???:temper:
 
I can't find ANYTHING on a P0149, not even in the Ford CD Manual.

You should have the code read again (elsewhere) and SEE it for yourself (and write it down).
 
Disconnect your battery and let it sit for a minute. Reconnect it and drive it for a few miles. If the light comes on again, scan it. Like earl said, cant find anything on that.
 
the haynes repair manual I got skips that code, goes from PO148 - PO151
