taking a trip to maine in a few weeks

im taking a trip up to maine in a few weeks and was just wondering what some of the must see things are. probably will go to the coast but im really into camping and would like to check out some of the state parks as well. i was hoping someone would give me some tips on what to go check out. thanks

Well, Maine is a pretty big state, so recommending to go to Baxter state park while you're staying in the Portland area isn't very helpful, but check out http://www.campmaine.com for some ideas

Well, everyone checks out Bar Harbor it seems, and the park there. You should spend at least a day there. A quieter place is Schoodic Point, right near me. Both places have excellent hiking, Bar Harbor/MDI having the better hiking.

If you havent already gone through and went home, I recommend Hermit Island campground in Small Point Me. (Just south of Bath)
