1985 no spark

It died while driving,rotor self destructed.I replaced rotor,coil and had ignition module checked.it was good.Still no spark at coil.It turns over good just no spark.Any advice welcome!Thanks

I would take a look at the Computer box on the right side of the pickup by the passengers right foot. Sound like you've covered a lot of the bases. Might be a wire broken off at a connector. Had that on mine at the coil.

After further examination I see that the inside of distributor(whatevers in there)is broken.Can this be rebuilt?Allready pulled bistributor,Oriley wants 96$thanks for the replies!

Exactly what is broken in the dizzy?

There will be a rotor on top which is attached to a metal plate which is attached to the shaft that goes down into the motor, it has a gear on the end, and there is the pickup coil, that the tfi module plugs into.

It can be rebuilt, depending on what is busted.

I believe it is the pickup coil.I took out the part that the module plugs into.At the end of the wires is the part that is broke,inside.Can I take it apart to replace?Thanks again!

When my rotor broke it also beat the cap up, if you haven't I would replace that too while you are there.

But it does sound like your problem is with what you think is the pickup coil, somehow when mine broke that didn't get hurt.

Well,I got er done.New distributor,cap and rotor.Stuck it in set timing,job done.Thanks for the advice!:yahoo::yahoo::yahoo::beer:
