Certainly not the lone Ranger...but I haven't been able to find any good legal trails for my basically stock 2wd. I know of a couple other Rangers...both 2wd though.

a big hunting club in amherst and nelson co called "bucks only" there is also shoe creek in nelson co but its more extreme 4x4 in than trail riding but dont get me wrong the club has plenty of places u need 4x4 they are accepting new members now u can drive 10 feet from the buffalo river and into the james river if you feel froggy they r having trail maint. day the 18th if you would like to check it out let me know {they are having gun lotto's right now} its pretty redneckish but thats me :headbang::icon_cheers:
i live down in campbell county, but ill talk to my brother in law and see if he would want to go up if scheduling permits!
and just for the record, "rednackish" things are ooohkay by me!

You should hook with the central virginia 4wheel drive assoc. They are in you area. They have two open events a year in Long Island. A great bunch of folks.

Just found this (http://roanoke.craigslist.org/pts/1095652105.html) on Craisglist nearby. If anybody's got time for a project, it might be worth a look. Wish I could take it on.

In lynchburg on 29...Cunningham Brothers Pick & Save. I don't know the website offhand but you can find them online.
What are you working on :icon_welder: ?

Just little stuff. Need a couple of body panels for the Ranger, some interior pieces, etc. Trying to clean up the appearance a bit.
Thanks for the tip - I'll check them out.

pick & save is great - most of their newer rangers are wrecked though. Also there is charlie chickens tucked away nearby.
Also Richmond is a gold mine with Chesterfield's and Circle auto parts, they are sister yards. Admission to one gets you in the other for the day.

I'm in Lynchburg, and know a few other Ranger owners in the area. We should all meet up sometime!

I live right on the edge of campbell county and appomattox. there are some trails in the national forest, and in amherst. there is peavine off of rt. 130 going towards natural bridge. There is also trails around the crabtree falls area in amherst county. of course i have only found peavine but have never gone down it. never found the ones around crabtree falls though.
You can go to va4wda.org for some info.
I used to live in NJ, and there was only mud. Supposed to be some more technical ones around here though.

We are planning a run the last weekend of August. I am not sure if we will be doing Shoe Creek (Crabtree falls/meadows) or Stone Run (Big Levels). Both are passable with stock 4x4.
