I'm trying to change out the intake manifold on my 1983 2.8L ranger and I can't figure out how to get the damn distributor off. There's got to be a bolt or something down on the base that I'm not getting... any tips?

There is a 1/2 inch bolt 13mm I use a short box end wrench you have to feel it more than see it it holds the clamp that tightens it up. Turn the crank to where the rotor is pointing strait back at the firewall so you know where to line it up when reinstalling it.

Yah You're prolly missing a nut. A search would locate a diagram. I would set everything on marks at TDC and scratch a reference mark.before I took anything apart, :icon_thumby:
