Interesting scope mount... is that rifle shorter than the Mosin above it? Kinda looks about as long as my M44 was, but hard to guess without the original stock, and I don't see the remnants of a side-fold mount..

it's a cut barrel M91, it's about two inches longer than an M44, used to be about 2 inches longer than a 91/30, give or take.
