Hello all, I've been a member for quit some time but have rarely posted so I figured I'd start here.
Two days ago I traded my 01 3.0 5spd ranger edge single cab with 298,000mi for a 97 4x4 4.0 5spd extended cab with 320,000 on it. most of my family and friends think I'm nuts but they've never been knee deep in ranger parts. Im happy with the deal, the 97 is a much better platform to build off of, but it doesnt come without problems.
On the 01 I had just about replaced everything at some point: mod fenders to fit 33x12.50, 2" radiator, fabricated upper arms on heims and uniballs bolted onto factory spindles, modified lowers for 8" 2.0 resivior shocks, exploder 4:10ls swap, explorer springs, #1 tortion bars, phantom lights, a pillar lights, roof rack, repaired snapped frame rail, seats, airbags, guage cluster, 2nd engine, 3rd trans, 3 rear ends (with the exploder setup),... I was sad to see it go (very sad) I got it with 23000 on it.
On deck for the 97 i have a new 4.0, f150 coils, warn jeep hubs, all my lights and wiring from the 01, deaver springs (might do chev 64" instead), my resivoirs off the 01, many things to come.

Reintroduction, its apparently been 8 years since I've posted and the 97 has changed a lot but is still around. Ganted I haven't done much exciting with it in a little over a year. I want to try to get a bit more active on here because I do have a bit of modification experiences to share, and I'm starting a budget build on a 93 explorer for a friend. Going to see if I can gather up 8 years of photos and put together a build thread for the ranger; there's some stuff to cover both the mountains and deserts on it.
