Would anyone be interested in a spring run to Cliffs Insane terrain??? I have never been there but its about 2 1/2 hours from me and if we could get a group of trucks to go it would be worth the drive.

I drive 2 hours. I would say yes.....others would say no. Just due to the fact that they have been to better places with more land and trails.

is it likely to tear up the body on my truck? ie. tight wooded trails, etc.?

there are many trails, some are a drive on dirt, and others are an extreme wheeler's battle...

I went there a few weeks ago with my stock 89 STX and had a blast...

If anyone goes me and my buddies would be interested in going...

Here's the thread when we went...

The body damage can be minimal if you want. I go down some of the tighter trails as my truck is trailered there and back. I went down a trail called "Land Cruiser", it was right before "Jimmies Crack" and that was where I got the most body damage of the day. I had to use the winch on the rear of the truck to get around a corner. There are other trails there too but the full size trucks would be worthless on them.

Those are some good pics there Gary. The full size trucks hindered your fun for the day. That place is not full size freindly unless you really don't care about body damage. Although I am surprised that they let them out on the trails as they have a wheel base limit. But anyway let's definately setup a spring run to go there. I will get my buddies and hopefully Bray will follow us up too.

my truck will probably be trailered there because my powerstroke drives way better and with a D28 and 33s i doubt it will be driveable to get home. are winches required?

You don't need a winch. I have 2 on my truck (front and rear). Most of the people I go up with have one so you will be just fine. Just don't follow me and the places I go. I also have on-board air too. I go prepared to help others and not just myself.

Thanks!

I dont recall them even checking on a wheelbase lenght...
That was my first time out and i had a BLAST! before that i had never used 4x4. I was VERY impressed with my truck!

My truck is completely stock with worn tires, i went there with no winch and had no problems! I expected things to break, but nothing happened...

Drove it there, wheeled all day, and drove home...
