Currently I have an old aluminum canopy and I keep thinking about making a replacement. Has anybody made one and if yes do you have any advice?

are you talking about a cloth canopy for your bed? your first post leaves a little information out.

You need to define what the word "canopy" means in your terms... Is it a tonneau? Is it a topper? What?
