That should still work. Did you try?

I just did a 2.85mb file and it worked. I used the procedure outlined above. Normally, I just use the "attach files" button below the reply box on the left side. There are times when I reply to a thread, that the editing icons (bold, italics, link, phot, etc) are greyed out and don't work. But I almost always have access to the attach files button.

Tried doing it both ways, using the "attach files" icon at the bottom and the add image thing at the top. Both say too large. File size is 6.1mb. 5,760x4312 resolution. Using chrome on android if that matters.

I'm just gonna fiddle with the phone and see if I can make it take smaller pics I guess. I cant figure out how to edit them smaller once I've taken them.

I made another setting change on the server. Try again.

Lamp pic test!!!! If I turn the camera off super duper HD mode it works fine. This file size was 2.5mb. Still wont do 5+mb but it's fine. The images still look perfectly fine on the lower setting.

Ok, so I know for certain I can upload 6.09 MB.

The server and forum settings have been changed to allow files larger than this to be uploaded. I can't find a reason why it doesn't want to take photos over 6 MB, unless the software that resizes them don't just can't handle them.

This is a problem with cell phones. Sometimes you can have them set to take super high quality photos, but the file sizes can be ridiculous. May want to change your camera settings to a file size that's smaller

Just tested all the photo settings on my phone. They all upload pics fine except 4:3HD at 25 megapixel. So must just be an issue uploading with that setting. I played around with all the settings and 25mp doesn't seem to have any advantage in quality over the other settings which are all 12 megapixel. In fact shooting at 16:9 12mp seems to take the best pics.

Dunno, not a camera or phone expert but at least I now know how to upload good pics.
