xBLAKEx's 1988 Supercab Build

Just saw your part out thread. I'm glad youre OK after the accident but it sure is sad to see what happened. At least it'll get life somewhere else :(

Yeah I was super bummed at first, and still am.. but I'm glad I walked away without a scratch..
I just bought a 1997 Ford Ranger Extra Cab for $1500, got a steal because i only had to swap out the front passenger side wheel bearings to drive it away hah. It's just never been maintained properly. The interior is nice except it doesn't have carpet, and the rear window leaked until i fixed it. But now the headliner is ruined. Suspension wise, it has a 4" lift with long arms, I can't figure out what brand.. there's Superlift shocks up front and Ranchos in the rear. ha. It's got the 4.0L which was a consideration as a swap for my 88. Way better then the 2.9L, I never really realized how much power i was lacking before ha. And it has a manual transmission, not sure which one.. The sticker is missing in the door, and I'm not good at identifying transmissions. The axle tags are missing so I'm not sure what gears are in them. But the rear is limited slip for sure. I'm debating if i should start another build thread because it's already kinda "built", but I'm going to be swapping in my 63" leafs to get rid of the 4" blocks, redo the shock mounts in the rear, redo the exhaust, extend the radius arms to the transmission cross member, Right now they are like 3" short of reaching the member. Build a new front bumper, finish my rear bumper i stated. And dowwnn the road swap in a D44. Those are the main things I wanna do anyways.

Read your thread and got to the end :shok: that always sucks had a few projects go that way myself. almost didnt come out of one. But its good you are ok. Just shows when life closes one door it opens another:icon_cheers:

A really quick summary of my build and what not..

Retards broke my axle because they flipped it onto the guardrail and got it stuck.. :dunno:

Thanks for all your guy's help throughout my build, I hope you liked it. I gained A LOT of on hand experience from custom lifts to fabricating. Gonna build up this 97 now. :icon_welder:
