what do you guys think? thinking about giving them a try but have seen pretty mixed reviews on them, anybody run these or had good/bad experience with them?

They look pretty good, but when I poked one at walmart the rubber felt really soft... I too was thinking about getting some, but was worried they would wear too fast...anyone have experience with these?
also i have heard they are not actual wranglers, and walmart just leases the name or some crap...anyone know if that is true?

ALL the silly RUMORS and INNUENDO about ( GOOD YEAR WALMART TIRES ) are laughable!!

Good year does not WATER DOWN or use INFERIOR rubber because it's a walmart tire, not only would that be illegal and unethical it would be plain stupid and a (SECRET / CONSPIRACY ) like that would not be kept secret long.

The fact is this is a REAL / ACTUAL / AUTHENTIC good year tire sold EXCLUSIVELY at walmart because walmart and good year entered into a business arrangement for this SPECIFIC TIRE.

That's it, nothing more nothing less.

The tire performs and handles just as good as it looks!!

My understanding was something more like they arn't even made by goodyear, and walmart just leases the name from them... I didn't particularly believe it, but whatever.

Has anyone run these tires in the summertime? Whats tread wear like?

I don't know anybody who has used them. I guess a Google search for reviews would help!!!

Sorry I dont have any pictures, but I am running a set on both my trucks. One of my trucks is 2wd, and it did amazing in the snow, as well on wet roads and ice. But, as with all tires, they do slide on ice if you drive stupid. As for the summer driving, i dont know, just got them in the fall. But, i have put a lot of miles on them and they still look new. As for the not real goodyear thingy, I looked into that matter before i bought tires at wal-mart...from what I have been told by goodyear and wal-mart, They are made by goodyear, and are only available at wal-mart because wal-mart wanted a tire to bring in more 4x4's, work trucks, ext. and more diverse group of people, and a good "off-road" tire was the plan. Also, wal-mart has a contract with goodyear that they will buy a certain amount-a massive amount-, and that is why they are lower in price than some of the other tires you may see made by goodyear. Also, they are classified an all-terrain tire, but I think they are more of a mild mud-terrain. Look at these tires next to a bfg A/t and you will see what I mean. They are a little bit louder than a bfg a/t tire on the road, but it is worth it off-road. They have deeper treads, a more agressive tread design, and larger voids as well as shoulder lugs. And for the price, i think it is well worth it and i would buy these tires again. Oh, and from what I have heard from people who have run goodyear mt/r and duratrack tires, these perform almost as well as the others do. Goodyear also said they would not put their name on something that would mess up their reputation or that was a "fake", and the tires are tested, built, and designed just as well as all the other goodyear tires. If the tires were available at places other than wal-mart, that would defeat the reason why wal-mart wanted them

i've heard only good things about them.....i was going to get them but i try to not shop at walmart b/c i hate the place with a passion.

im running them on my ranger an love them not only do they work good for me but they sling some good mud to ;)

i worked for wallyworld in tle for a couple years and i can tell you the wrangler is in ok tire for the street, and its good on anything offroad up to and including dew covered grass. they can be expected to last you around 40k if you treat them nice, and they do come from good year, i often was the one placing the order and i can tell you that order form went straight to goodyear.

40 000 miles? Thats not bad. I could deal with that. Did they sell anything bigger than 31x10.5 for a 15" rim? Their website doesn't list anything, but I dont exactly have much trust in their POS site.

Thanks.

the only size my store sold was 235/75/15. there was no choice, but they were great for midsize trucks

If you are really interested in buying a set of these, i would recommend just goin down to wal-mart and checkin them out for more info. I have never seen or heard of any other size for a 15 inch wheel besides the 31"x10.5"r15. The only other sizes they offer are metric sizes for larger wheels, i think it is up to 17"
