I went to bestbuy today to buy a new Router and the guy inline in front of me had a cd and a cd book. Typical purchase considering Best Buy probably sells more cd's than computer equipment. Anyway, he checked out and as he was leaving 3 or 4 associates stoped him and asked to check his bag. They open it up and find a few cd's in the cd case. They request his ID and he starts saying he'll pay for it. They say he can then ask for his ID again. He refuses again and as I'm walking out, I hear someone yell he just punched someone. I don't know who punched who cause I had to be somewhere shortly and didn't want to be late. My question is why would you risk jail time over a few cd's? Why would you steal something in ther first place. Makes you think about what kind of world this is turning into.

You know what its happening more and more, unfortunately all you ca do is lead by example. Or at least thats what i believe and try to do. It is really sad though what some people are willing to do. I remember seeing a thing on the news a few weeks back, during a snowstorm someone pretended to be stuck in the ditch, and when a good samaritan pulled up to help them, the guy shot the good samaritan and stole his wallet and valuables. Left the guy in the snow on the side of the highway. Its sick stuff, but in the end, no matter what you believe, we will all be judged righteously.

I agree about leading by example. That's what I'll be doing if/when I ever have kids. I just remembered over Christmas some guy was walking door to door in a near by town saying his child died and he needs donations to cover the funeral expenses.

Amen! I know a few people that need to learn to believe something.... It's pitiful to not have some kind of religion.

Not trying to start a religion debate but I don't belive in it. I do belive in God but I think religion is just a crock for the most part. I feel there's a lot of hypocracy and steriotyping in religious organizations. I had a friend ask me to go to her church (this was in the Bible Belt), I agreed to go and went keeping an open mind. I went a few times, the last time I went there was some special guest speaker. He started saying that every other religion was wrong (this was a methodist church i think). He stated that he want's gay's, drug dealers/users and porn stars/viewers burn in hell. Everyone stood up cheering and I left. One of the ushers tried to stop me asking why I was leaving, I told him I didn't agree with thier guest speakers hypocritical and narrow mined views. I left and never went back. It's a shame that some people are like that, all they do is just taint their respected religion.

I agree, religion seems to stray way to much, and at sometimes is used for the worse and totally loses sight of it's purpose. It is a powerful tool for hate and even violence, which seems totally backwards to me. This doesn't mean I have a lack of faith in god, this means I have a lack of trust in people who abuse this faith.

For the Stupid people debate, Its a lost cause. I nearly got hit by a woman today who ran a stop sign and nearly t boned my Dakota. I laid on the horn and gave the the "what the hell are you doing look" and she laid on hers and held up her hands, with a cell phone in one of them, and gave me the same look back. No, correct me if I'm wrong, but at a 3 way stop, the person who has been waiting the longest AT the stop line is the next person to go, and not the person who has the most expensive vehicle? But on the other hand, I was in the complete wrong for getting in the way of her phone call, and I know if I didn't hit my horn she would have hit me...wait, that could have been my new Ranger, damn.

Also don't get me started on the hole stupid person debate, I work in a garage, and you wouldn't believe the amount of stupid people I have to deal with. And don't even get me started about the people who bring their own parts wanting me to install them for them and then gets pissed off when I tell them "NO", or tell them that when they ask if I work on the side. Would you bring a stake to a restaurant and ask them to cook it for you? Or ask the cook to come to your place and cook for you, at a fraction of what their making where they are? I don't think so.

With the hole "It's pitiful to not have some kind of religion", I have to say this about it, Religion is just a way to organize ones views to where others will accept it, I am not religious, but I do believe in higher powers, does this make me a bad person for not belonging to any form of religion, No. It just means that I have not narrowed my points of views to agree with just one group. I have friends who are Mormon, Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Catholic, and so one, and every so often someone asks if I want to go to church with them (not the middle eastern friends, they don't ask, ever, and I don't mind either). Every time someone asks, I always say no, its not because I don't believe, its because I don't want to be told what I can and can't believe.

I think most religions HAD good intentions, but some have been tainted over the centuries by manipulative control freaks.

Ahh... a perfect example of why I hate shopping...

Not that I shop at Best Try anymore anyway... not after they screwed me over on two warranties, f' that.

dont worry, i screwed them back for you. had a deck, replaced it twice on the same warranty. its not supposed to work that way but i made it.

I wonder what he thought was going to happen. I always see the so called security at the door. They don't make me feel threatned, but they are not there to bully you, just keep honest people honest.

I hope the idiot spends a while in jail.

Your right, people can be stoopid sometimes.

I bought a RF amp there with the extended warranty... 3 weeks later I was back cuz the thing was FRIED. They told me to get lost cuz it was "last years model.":flipoff:

About a week after that I stopped in a small car audio shop up at college and was complaining to them about it. They told me to bring it to them and pay for shipping and insurance and they'd send it back to RF for me. 2 weeks later I had it back from RF with a sheet on the repair and a new "birth" sheet.

Then I had a pair of subs pop (I knew it was only a matter of time, 915 watt rms amp powering two 12" subs that only wanted 100 watts rms). I took them back under the extended warranty I had bought and they told me that they could replace them but I'd have to buy a new extended warranty cuz my old one was about expired. No big deal, I didn't mind plunking down another couple bucks for another 4 year warranty cuz once again, I figured it was a matter of time. Popped those after about a year or so (I wasn't even really cranking it). Took them back and they told me that I would have to pay for a new warranty PLUS the price difference between the ORIGINAL purchase price and the CURRENT store price (in other words, I'd have to pay $120 to get my subs replaced). I demanded to speak to a manager. He said he was willing to work with me and meet me halfway. I told him that if he didn't work with me and make it just the cost of a warranty that I'd take my business elsewhere. He said he was trying to help me out. I told him to :flipoff:

The subs will be returned to the manufacturer in hopes of replacement. And I will never buy from Best Try again if at all possible, cuz that's BS.

I've never had any problems buying anything at Best Buy. I always say 'No' to the warranty as well. I don't think I've ever had a warranty on anything, and from what I've heard from my elders, there use to never be a warranty. You bought a car and blew the engine leaving the dealer, it's your problem now.

I don't see why the kid tried to make things more complicated. All he had to do was hand over the merchandise and his ID and get banned from Best Buy and maybe the cops got involved. Instead he decided he was gonna swing fist's and insure he gets the cops involved and possibly jail time.

Try a Non-Denonimational church like I found. I was going to a Baptist Church, but all they wanted was money, no help offered to my family or myself when my home burned down. So I go here now... www.mynewwalk.com Don't be a lost soul out there, find they way, No Jesus-No Happiness....Know Jesus-Know Happiness, and yes, God does allow U-turns.:icon_thumby:
