I think its a shame GM stopped making 350s. I've seen K1500s of similar vintage with 400,000 miles on the original engine (don't know if anything else was original). If you can get a good deal on it I don't see a reason why not.

I have nothing against the 5.3, but having a 350 is just so much cooler

Well, went and looked at the truck. After giving it a good look over, I noticed some duct tape painted green on the rocker behind the passenger door, soft underneath. I'm not going to pay that much for a truck that is rusted through the body....

My neighbor owns a small used car lot, he is going to look for one for me, I'd rather give him the money anyways.

I've seen it before, and who knows if it was them or the PO. You would think they would have caught it in an inspection though, no way should it be priced that high with a big rust hole.

My neighbor (the one with the dealership) was looking at a truck at another dealership, they wanted him to take it and sell it. Checking it out, he started feeling around. One part of the rock guard (bedliner on the rocker panel) felt soft, gave it a quick tug and some duct tape pulled off. The guy did a pretty good job of covering it, but would have knocked a big chunk off the price if they would have seen it. My neighbor wouldn't even take it, like he said who knows what else they were hiding.


Why is it that now that I'm on the search for what seemed like the most common vehicle around just a few years ago, everything now seems to either be a regular cab or have a 305?

There was a kid a couple of years ahead of me in high school had an old Nova that was about 5 different colors and rusty, so he covered the thing in duct tape.

It didn't look half bad from a distance until it got really hot out.
