welll i put another 2.3 liter in my truck cuz i blew up my other one everything runs its just my truck wont stop ver heating and the check engine lights on the blets are squeeking really loud too i dont no what it could be anyone have any ideas im thinking im going to need a new belt maybe a new power stearing pump? idk

When I replaced the engine in my 93 I started it up and went for a drive and it got hot fast. My problem was when I filled the radiator I did not bleed the air out of the cooling system. I let it cool down, then took the rad, cap off and started the truck. I also put the heat on high. Then I watched the coolent in the radiator and when it went down I kept topping it off untill it would not take anymore, fixed the overheat prob. I to had a check engine light, but mine was because I forgot to hook the wires back up to my egr. Dont know if this will help, but worth checking. Good luck.

if the belts r squeeking really loud and that started happening when it started overheating... i'd suspect a water pump.

yea i would say water pump too, probably seized if your belts are not loose.
