Wont start

that is what i just said power coming from the eec to the relay is only 2.2 volts and at the relay is only 2.2 volts

There shouldn't be power from the EEC. The EEC grounnds the relays.

well its putting out power the eec has to be bad when i put power to the relay it clicks over and the fuel pump works so i dont know im putting a new eec in it to see if it works ill have it thursday also i did a self test on it and got nothing it does nothing

i finally got the eec and it did nothing it does the same thing can anybody tell me why it wont do anything when i hit the key it doesnt turn over it does nothing WHYY???? just the check engine light and emergency parking brake comes up also check oil light goes away when i hit brakes any sensor or connecters that could go bad to stop it from starting with these symptoms? HEEELLLLPPPP

Where are you getting the 2.2 volts?

I finally got it to turn over by the key turns out two of the grey connectors above the driver side fender well were plugged in the wrong locations so the wires were getting mixed signals (thanks for putting up with my arrogance) but still i have no spark i have power to the coil and the fuel pump stopped working its getting power i think it might of burned up because it worked before

i took the edis6 out and look inside of it and its all jelly is it suppose to be like that? Also looked like its gotten wet and back half looks a little corroded if this is bad will it not send spark at the right time to fire?

i ran the test and got 16 and 85 and they came up twice then codes 11 and 11 i dont know what the first two codes mean i looked up what they are but 85 i dont think has to do with my truck could 16 be the edis? it says something about idm i dont know what that is

That means the signal from the ignition module was not received by the ECA for self test. The most common cause would be a bad ignition module but since the harness has been changed, it may be something there. I'd still like to know what wires are getting 2.2 volts.

The green and yellow wire has 12 at start then drops cause the fuel pump was frozen up the connector on the top of the tank was corroded really bad i dropped the tank but what is an ECA? and what is the ignition module is that EDIS6? The harness is back to normal everything matches up i had two connectors in the wrong place before.

The 91 Ranger Custom lives again i replaced the EDIS6 out of a 92 Ranger Custom 4.0 and the fuel pump assembly out of a 93 Ranger 3.0 brand new just sitting at the junkyard thanks again everyone who helped me out in this battle with my truck

That's grerat news, thanks for the update.
